The Polar Express Train Ride

Christmas on the Green

Christmas on the Green is a wonderful event that will embrace anyone's Christmas spirit! The day starts off with a visit from Santa (he will be at the Gazebo from 2:00 - 5:00). Children of all ages are invited to come and tell Santa Claus their Christmas wishes! Then, at 5:30, Cashiers' beautiful Christmas Tree will be lit! There will also be holiday music, s'mores, and more!

Festival of the Trees

Visitors to the central park at Cashiers Crossroads enjoy twinkling light displays and festive decorations from Thanksgiving to New Years Day. The park becomes a winter wonderland! The Festival of Trees celebrates one of the area's greatest industries and showcases local businesses.

Highlands Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Come down to Main Street and enjoy refreshments of hot chocolate and cookies as we light the town Christmas Tree.  Santa and all his helpers will be there to sing carols and listen to children's Christmas wishes.

Highlands Christmas Parade

Come watch an Old Fashioned Christmas Parade. Parade starts at 11:00am and proceeds down Main Street. There is everything from A live Nativity, Dancing, Local Organizations, and of Course Mr. and Mrs. Clause. Join Santa after the parade to tell him what you want for Christmas.

42nd Annual Cashiers Christmas Parade “Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly”

With hometown flair and festivity, the 42nd Annual Cashiers Christmas Parade will kick off at noon Saturday December 10th at the intersection of Cashiers School Road and NC Highway 107 South, near Cornucopia Restaurant. Celebrating the Valley Garden Club's 30th Anniversary, entries will decorate to a "Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly" theme, and march to the Crossroads then west on US Hwy 64 to Frank Allen Road. Featuring 75 or more floats, marchers, musicians, vintage cars, fire engines, animals and more the traditional walk through the Crossroads will delight all ages.

New Ice Rink Opens in Highlands

The new ice rink opened at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park on January 4th. The ice rink will be open from Thursday to Sunday each week and will have a fee of only $5. Loaned skates are also available.

Highlands had yet another successful Halloween. Thank you to everyone who came out to all of our fun Halloween events including The Great Pumpkin Patch Express, the Downtown All Hallows Eve Celebration, and many more. Although October has come to an end, we are excited for the holidays to begin!

The Town of Highlands Ice Rink

The Town of Highlands Ice Rink will open on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at 6:30pm for the 2016/17 regular season.
 
Regular Hours of Operation (through mid to late February):
Thursdays: 1-8 PM
Fridays & Saturdays: 1-10 PM
Sundays: 1-5 PM
 
Price:
$5.00 (with or without skates)
Rental skates available, youth size 8 to adult size 14.
 
Coffee and Hot Chocolate will also be available.

Highlands Cove Realty and Old Edwards Club have partnered and created an inaugural charity even in an effort to raise money and supplies for the Boys and Girls Club of the Plateau as well as collecting canned goods which are donated to the Fishes and Loves Food Pantry.
 
We are now accepting donations at the Highlands Cove Realty office.
