Treasure Island, the Classic Adventure

Hold on tight and set sail for a live stage production based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale!  Presented by the Overlook Theatre Company.

Easter Egg Hunt

The children of Jackson County gather for a fun-filled day of hunting eggs in commemoration of Easter. They also have an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny! Eggs are scattered throughout the fields of Cullowhee’s Recreation Center, so kids can have plenty of space to run and enjoy the Easter festivities.

Dillsboro Easter Hat Parade

Experience an event that has countless of activities for people of all ages. Get your face painted, make a hat or even meet the Easter Bunny at the Dillsboro Easter Hat Parade.

Cashiers Area Community Easter Sunrise Service

On Sunday, March 27 Cashiers area churches will celebrate Easter with the annual Community Easter Sunrise Service at 7:00 a.m. at the Gazebo and Lawn of The Village Green.  Those attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

North Carolina Symphony

The North Carolina Symphony, led by Associate Conductor David Glover, will perform a program of classical favorites, including Rossini's Overature to William Tell, the Blue Danube Waltz by Johann Strauss, Jr., Tchaikovsky's Fantasy Overature from Romeo and Juliet and more in this free concert.

St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at Old Edwards

Enjoy the Irish Food, Fun and Festivities during St. Patrick’s Weekend Celebration.  There are a number of events planned this weekend!

New Ice Rink Opens in Highlands

The new ice rink opened at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park on January 4th. The ice rink will be open from Thursday to Sunday each week and will have a fee of only $5. Loaned skates are also available.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt at The Village Green

Residents and visitors to the Cashiers area are invited to join the celebration beginning with the Sixth Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by S’More Kids Klothes. The egg-stravaganza for children 10 years and younger begins with pre-hunt entertainment at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 26.

The egg hunt will start at 11:15 a.m. Children will be divided according to age in three separate areas near the Gazebo at Highway 64. Bring your own basket and expect a visit from the Easter Bunny!
